**Description:**


Hot Section Engineering (HSE) at Pratt & Whitney is currently looking for a motivated and talented Intern in Structures Engineering to join its team in support of commercial, military and industrial gas turbine engines. In this role, the Intern will get exposure to and learn the technical assessments and analyses necessary to support the design, development, validation, production implementation and management of advanced and operational engines flying across the globe. The Intern will have the opportunity to work with the various hardware, components and systems that HSE owns including turbine airfoils, rotating hardware and static structures. In this role, the Intern will be an integral member of the structures team, working tasks and challenging problems focused on engine safety, reliability, capability, robustness and affordability. The Intern will contribute as part of small teams with mentoring and coaching from experts and senior engineers in the field. It is an exciting time at Pratt & Whitney! **Qualification:** A solid academic record from a reputable institution including course work, grade point average and leadership is required. A candidate for this position should have an interest in the aerospace industry. Understanding and course work in finite element analysis (FEA), modeling, computation, mechanics or materials, failure analysis, vibrations and other topics related to structures will benefit the candidate. Good communication skills are essential.

**Education:** Enrollment in a B.S. degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or other applied engineering undergraduate curriculum is the minimum requirement for this position. Candidates in their freshman, sophomore and junior years of an undergraduate program are encouraged to apply. Students in graduate programs are also eligible.
